Sample answer:

The diagram illustrates the process used to manufacture bottled and canned carbonated drinks. Overall, production follows a linear sequence that begins with the purification and carbonation of raw water and ends with the filling, packaging, and distribution of the finished beverage.

Initially, raw water is cleaned through a series of stages. It is first passed through a filter to remove solid particles before entering a tank where a water softener and chemicals are added to eliminate remaining impurities. The treated water is then pumped into a heated chamber, where it evaporates. This vapour rises to a cooling pipe positioned at the top of the chamber, and as it cools, it condenses back into liquid form. The resulting water subsequently flows into a carbonation vat, in which carbon dioxide is introduced.

In the next stage, the carbonated water is converted into soda. It is transferred to a mixing tank, where colouring, syrup, and flavouring are added from separate containers. Inside this tank, a beater continuously stirs the mixture, producing a uniform liquid. Following this, the beverage is filtered once more and poured into either bottles or cans. In the final stage, these containers are packed into boxes and transported to supermarkets for sale.
